Wonderful Indian Recipes – How To Make Vegetable Biryani

You might be disagreeing with this statement based on many of the stories you could have heard in the past. I will agree that there are many of wierd dishes they create, but they think the same thing about many of the dishes that we make. One thing that you should know is that they create some of the most wonderful tasting vegetable dishes that you’re going to ever have. My personal favorite is a dish called Vegetable Biryani. The Biryani dish originated in North India and was mostly reserved for use during festivals. The vegetables of this dish are marinated in a yogurt-based marinade.
1st step: Your first action in making this dish will be to bake the potato cubes, carrots, and okra in a pan of boiling salted water. You will have to boil these contents for about 7 to 8 minutes. What you will have to do next is drain well and place all of the contents into a big bowl. The next step requires you to mix the contents with the celery, mushrooms, and eggplant.
Step Two: Make a mixture of ginger, garlic, curry powder, turmeric and unsweetened yogurt.You should make sure that all the ingredients are mixed together properly. With a spoon add this mixture into the vegetable. Let the vegetable marinate for atleast 2 1/2 hours. This dish needs few minutes for marination, so it can’t be made immediately.
Step Three: Take your butter and heat it in a heavy skillet. You need to add the sliced onions to the skillet and cook them over a medium heat. Carry on cooking the onions for about 6 min, or until they are soft and golden brown looking. Remove a few of the onions from the pan and reserve them for your garnish. Cook the rice in a large pan of boiling water as you are doing this. Allow the rice to cook for about 8 minutes. Just be sure you drain them meticulously and set them aside for future use.
Step Four: During this step you’ll add the marinated vegetables to the onions and cook them for about 10 minutes. You will then put half of the rice into a two litre casserole dish. Spoon the veggies on top and cover with the remaining rice. Then cover the dish and allow it to cook the biryani in a preheated oven that is set at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow the dish to cook for close to twenty-five minutes and pull it from the oven.
Take a serving plate, and place the biryani into it. Garnish with the golden brown onions and cilantro. Your Yummy Indian Vegetable biryani is ready to be eaten. Now its time to enjoy the food. Enjoy!!!
